Electrical resistance
From Electronics Wiki
Electrical resistance is a physical property of all elements. It describes a substances oposition to the passage of electrical current, the lower the "electrical resistance" the more electricity can pass and vice versa a higher electrical resistance means that less electricity will pass. Although generally applied to substances commonly used in the electrical feild and electronics such as most metals, every chemical element and compound has an electrical resistance which may be extremely low putting the substance into the class of comductors or it may be extremely high putting the substance into the class of isolators. Elements and compounds with a mediium electrical resistance are classed as semiconductors.
